Army, Air Force band together for Airman’s best friend
After biting down onto a steel pipe during training, Kobo, 86th Security Forces Squadron military working dog, undergoes two non-surgical procedures for the extraction of his upper incisors and a surgical extraction of his upper fourth premolar at Pulaski Veterinary Clinic, Pulaski Barracks, Germany, Aug. 25, 2017. Rather than use the self-developing films they had, Soldiers from Public Health Activity-Rheinland-Pfalz partnered with Airmen from the 86th Dental Squadron to extract Kobo’s broken tooth. The 86th Dental Squadron lent digital radiography that is faster and helps to minimize the amount of time the dogs spend under anesthesia. (U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Savannah L. Waters)
